Congleton Food and Drink Festival 2020 – but not as we know it!

5th Jun 2020 | Local News

This year's Congleton Food & Drink Festival will be nothing like it has been for the last 12 years.

Sadly our town centre streets will not be heaving with 25,000 visitors and over 100 food and drink stalls but, with a bit of imagination and basic technology, the team will bring the festival to you at home or wherever you are.

It's vital we support our local producers and many are still making, baking, brewing and cooking up treats available to order online or to deliver to your door.

How wonderful would it be if the community could support them by ordering some special produce for the day and having your own Foodie Fest Feast, picnic, afternoon tea at home or a BBQ with local meats and veg, washed down with locally brewed beer or a refreshing cordial, apple juice or even a locally produced G&T.

Why not then prepare a handsome cheese board packed with the best locally produced cheeses and enjoy a feast finale with some wonderful desserts or cakes.

On the day itself, Sunday 14th June there will be a programme of videos including a food demonstration by our award winning chef Martin Webster specially filmed for the day, some videos from our local producers and regular stallholders and an entertaining magic show video from our local renowned magician Nick Barnes.

For a bit of fun if you do take part please follow the Food and Drink Festival on Facebook and send in a video or some photos which can be added to the website.

For further information please contact [email protected] directly or visit the food and drink festival's website.
