David Rutley, Macclesfield's MP, has added his strong support to the campaign to keep Congleton's household waste recycling centre open.
Cheshire East's cabinet agreed 'that the Congleton tip will not be replaced' while a borough-wide review of the centres was undertaken at its meeting on Tuesday.
Chaos will ensue when traffic from Congleton starts to arrive in Macclesfield from September after our refuse site closes.

Congleton Pride has highlighted a mismatch between the tolerance expressed by many people in Congleton towards lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and other non-confirming genders/sexualities (LGBTQ+ for short), and the actual experience of LGBTQ+ people who live here.

With all the uncertainty we are facing in the country currently, Congleton ward councillor Rob Moreton would like to talk to the community about debt.
It is something we do not talk about. There is still a perception of shame if we, as people, mount up any amount of debt, which is probably why we do not talk about it, but we should.
