Harvest Celebration was very different this year at Buglawton Primary School as class assemblies replaced the usual gathering at St John's Church, Buglawton.

The usual delivering of harvest parcels to the local community was also replaced this year by pupils bringing in harvest donations that were donated to Congleton's foodbank - The Storehouse.

Pupils from the school brought in food items over a two week period and together created a "huge offering" that was collected by the New Life Church's 'Love thy Neighbour' van.

Richard Jervis, Deputy Headteacher at Buglawton Primary School, said: "Our team ethos was clearly shown by the overwhelming donations from our families.

"It was clear from the contributions how much our school cares about its local community and for those less fortunate at this time."
