Co-op is offering to send free ‘pick-me-up’ packs to people in Congleton in support of World Mental Health Day this week.

Sunday 10 October is World Mental Health Day. The pandemic has affected the mental health of millions of people. Support is vital but how easy it is to access can depend on where you live or who you are.

World Mental Health Day 2021 aims to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and fight mental health inequality.

World Mental Health Day is this Sunday - and you can get a free gift to help a pal in Congleton out.

One in four people experiences a mental health problem in any one year.

That’s why Co-op is working with its charity partners, Mind, the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) and Inspire to bring communities together to improve mental health and wellbeing.

The Co-op helps fund causes which support the wellness of Congleton residents.

Whitehill Co-op in Kidsgrove gives funds to the Biddulph Victoria Live at Home Scheme, which provides support to local older people through telephone befriending and essential shopping to reduce loneliness and isolation.

Congleton's Bromley Road Co-op gives back to Holmes Chapel Boxing Club, which promotes mental wellness through physical activity, for over 100 local boys and girls from ages 10 to 74.

World Mental Health Day 2021 aims to raise awareness of mental health issues across the globe, and encourage wellness.
