Improve your Recycling

How many items do you throw away in a week? Hundreds probably, most of them after being used only once. Nearly all these items are made of recyclable materials, yet many of them are NOT recyclable via our Cheshire East Silver Bins.
Putting wrong items, such as crisp packets, into our Silver Bins disrupts the recycling process, and costs the Council, and therefore Council Tax payers (i.e. you and me), extra money to get them disposed of correctly.
Yet most of these unacceptable items CAN be recycled via other schemes, such as TerraCycle, who accept about 25 categories of hard-to-recycle household items.
Those of you who take care to put only correct items in your Silver Bins probably put the unacceptable items in you Black Bin instead. But that means tonnes of potentially recyclable materials being lost through incineration or lanfill.
Come and learn how to CORRECTLY recycle a higher proportion of your waste, helping yourself, charities and the environment in the process.
