Churnet Sound, the brand-new radio station for the Staffordshire Moorlands and the surrounding area, is set to welcome former Signal One and Silk FM Breakfast Presenter Andy Bailey to their schedule.

The Dad-of-four from Congleton will be a familiar voice to listeners across Staffordshire and Cheshire after spending 20 years behind the microphone and is very much looking forward to hosting the 10am to 1pm slot every Saturday from the studios within Biddulph Town Hall.

He said: "As soon as I met the team from Churnet Sound, it was clear they had a real passion for the local area and were keen to shine a spotlight on local people and the great things that the Moorlands and the surrounding towns and villages have to offer.

"I jumped at the chance to join the presentation line-up!"

So what can we expect from Andy's show?

Andy added: "Certainly nothing too high-brow! We'll throw a bit of everything in the mix – a few ideas of what to do over the weekend, a couple of competitions and of course we'll play some great songs from the past 40 years."

Andy's show will be on Churnet Sound from April 17th via your smart speaker or via the free smartphone app.
