Firefighters were called to a small fire involving a hedgerow in the front garden of a property in Congleton yesterday (Monday).

Just before 12:30pm, one fire engine from Congleton attended Sycamore Avenue, Congleton, and the crew used a hose reel jet to put out the fire.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "The fire is believed to have been started accidentally, via hot tools being used on a pavement."
