Congleton will face Tier 2 coronavirus restrictions when the full national lockdown ends next week.

It means people will be banned from meeting those from other households indoors, whether that's in their home or in a pub.

Commuters have also been advised to avoid public transport and reduce the number of journeys they make where possible.

Only pubs serving "substantial" meals will be allowed to open.

The government has also binned the 10pm curfew where everyone has to leave the pub by this time.

Instead, last orders will be called at 10pm with drinkers allowed to finish their drinks up until 11pm.

The announcement was made by Matt Hancock, the health secretary, in the Commons this morning (Thursday).

Tier two is the second highest category for restrictions but the government says it will be reviewing the situation regularly.

Some areas could be moved into higher tiers where coronavirus cases increase.

Where they fall, the government says it could move them to tier one.

Here are all the rules and restrictions of being in tier 2:

- No mixing of households indoors apart from support bubbles - rule of six outdoors.

- Pubs and bars must close unless operating as restaurants, and hospitality venues can only serve alcohol with substantial meals.

- Last orders at 10pm, close by 11pm.

- Reduce the numbers of journeys made and avoid travel into Tier 3 areas.

- Overnight stays permitted with your household or support bubble.

- Places of worship open but people cannot interact with anyone outside their household or support bubble.

- Weddings, civil partnerships and wakes can have 15 guests.

- Funerals can have 30 guests.

-Exercise classes and organised adult sport can take place outdoors, but not indoors if there is any interaction between different households.

- Elite sporting events, live performances and large business events can take place with 50% capacity, or 2,000 people outdoors/1,000 indoors (whichever is lower) - social distancing applies.
