Calling all green-fingered and handy volunteers! Congleton In Bloom supported by Plastic Free Congleton and Friends of Congleton Park host their first town tidy of 2020 on Saturday 7th March.

Meeting in Congleton Park from 10am-12noon, there is a variety of activities to join in with.

Congleton Town Council's desire to ensure that Congleton has its very own place for people in mental health crisis was further confirmed last week when two town councillors attended the opening of Cheshire's first Crisis Centre.

Councillors Mark Rogan and Kay Wesley from Congleton Town Council's Health and Wellbeing Working Group attended the official opening of the 'Number 71' Crisis Café in Chester to learn more about how it was set up and the services it will provide.

Congleton Town Council's Finance and Policy Committee has unanimously voted to adopt a new Equality and Inclusion Policy proposed by Councillor Kay Wesley, the country's first Women's Equality Party councillor.

The new policy sets out an ambition that no-one is held back due to their specific characteristics and that the council will actively tackle inequalities.
