What's on in Congleton this weekend

At the start of every weekend, we round-up the best things you can do in the Congleton area.

Here are our picks for this weekend, with some events taken from our Congleton What's On section.

  1. Antiques Fair

Peel Lane public building Astbury Village Hall will be hosting an antiques fair this weekend.

It is the second event of this kind their this year, and will have 25 quality stalls of vintage goods.

The six hour event is open 9.00am - 3.30pm on Saturday. But turn up early if you want to ensure a parking space.

Admission is £1.

  1. Mithras Trio

On Saturday at 3, Clonter Opera Theatre in Swettenham Heath will welcome a global classical music art.

With members from Greece, Italy and South Korea, the trio will perform the works of Mozart and Brahms.

The members and their instruments are Ionel Manciu (Violin), Leo Popplewell (Cello) and Dominic Degavino (Piano).

Tickets cost £23 for non-members, and cheaper for members. Get them here.

  1. Chicago

The 2020s will become the 1920s this weekend.

The Daneside Theatre on Park Road will have a trio of performances of Friday and Saturday.

Made content appropriate for a teenage audience, it costs just £12.50 per person to see this locally-produced show supporting our town's arts scene after a rough couple of years.

  1. Astbury Mere Artisan Market

From 10:30am to 2:30pm on Sunday, Astbury Mere Artisan Market will take place.

The free event will have handmade items, home décor, fragrances, cakes, cards, Jewellery, pet treats, and more.
