Residents urged not to leave Christmas shopping in their vehicles

Officers have received reports of an unknown males(s) trying vehicle door handles in the West Road area of Congleton.

The male(s) was caught on CCTV in between 3am and 5am on 30 October (Friday).

Enquiries are ongoing and if you live in the area, officers are asking residents to check any CCTV you may have during that time period.

PCSO Ben Hooper said: "Please remember to check your vehicles are locked and secure, especially overnight.

"Please also make sure there is nothing left visible in the vehicle and where possible take any valuables out of the vehicle and secure them within your home.

"If you are one of those people who have done their Christmas shopping early then definitely do not leave any presents in the vehicle."
