A Congleton social club plans to safely hand out sweet treats to all the children in their costumes who will be trick or treating this Halloween.

Between the hours of 3pm and 5pm on Saturday 31st October, The Cygnet Club, on Swan Bank, will be handing out little goody bags to children, who are accompanied by a parent.

General Manager Jaki Slater said: "Here at The Cygnet Club we love Halloween, and it saddens me to think that trick or treating is next to impossible and the big party I had planned will not be able to go ahead."

The bags will be premade up on 17th October, giving them two weeks to sit untouched and hands will be sanitised during the making process.

If you plan on calling at The Cygnet Club on Halloween and your child has dietary requirements, make sure you contact the club before 16th October.
