Due to coronavirus restrictions remaining in place beyond June 21st, the reopening of Congleton's paddling pool has been delayed.

The pool reopening was subject to the full lifting of Covid-19 restrictions in the Government's roadmap being agreed as planned on June 21st, which had been dubbed 'Freedom Day'.

But prime minister Boris Johnson announced yesterday (Monday, 14th June) that current coronavirus restrictions would remain in place for another four weeks, until 19th July, because of the rapid spread of the Delta variant.
