HC One's Greengables Care Home, located on Sandbach Road, is a home specialising in nursing care to many residents living in Congleton.

It is also the workplace of a housekeeper whose 20 years of service have not gone unrecognised.

Julie Moore has been a housekeeper at Greengables for 20 years and in honour of the two-decade milestone, colleagues and residents celebrated with a small socially distanced party.

There was a "beautiful" personalised cake topped with housekeeping equipment such as an ironing board and a mop and bucket, much to Julie's delight who was overwhelmed at the thoughtfulness put into the afternoon from her colleagues.

Not to mention the £100 gift card, flowers, prosecco and other lovely little gifts, which was a day for Julie to remember.

Greengables Home Manager, Dawn Sadler, said: "Julie came to Greengables back in 2000. Julie enjoys the company of senior people and thought combining the love of cleaning and being around senior people would be ideal.

"Julie has enjoyed providing not only a cleaning service, but all the hidden extras that go along with the job for the residents over the years, Julie has been an asset to the team.

"Julie has always gone above and beyond her role as housekeeper always making sure each resident has that individual first-class attention."
