'Actions of the selfish': Cheshire East Ranger clears broken glass from third 'party night' at Congleton beauty spot

A Cheshire East Ranger has claimed that for the third time in a week there appears to have been yet another 'party night' at a popular grassland in Congleton.
The ranger for Dane-in-Shaw Pasture which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to it being a grassland of national importance has cleared broken glass from the area.
The image above was all found in the brook, in one of the most popular areas that people take their children paddling and their dogs swimming.
PC Jim Clark, of the Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team, said: "This is the result of what appears to be the actions of the selfish.
"It worries ranger Cal every time she finds a broken bottle because as much as she searches she cannot guarantee she's cleared up every bit of glass from it.
"Please respect our parks and countryside and take your litter home."
