Were looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Manual Turner to join one of our prestigious clients based in Congleton!

This is an exciting opportunity to work on precision parts using manual lathes (Colchester) and CNC machines, with the chance to learn and develop expertise in operating Okuma CNC machines.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be doing

• Set and operate CNC machinery (Okuma CNC machines, manual lathes, 2-axis)
• Interpret engineering drawings
• Learn and develop skills in operating Okuma CNC machinery (training provided)
• Ensure calibration of measuring and production equipment before use
• Select and set up tools, reporting any defects or worn tooling
• Record time expended and components lost on internal system
• Comply with quality standards and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement
• Inspect work to ensure it meets required standards
• Participate in training and support the training of new personnel

Hours

Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm

Pay

£16.83 per hour / £31,505.76 per annum

Skills/Experience Required

• Experience with manual turning (Colchester lathes) or CNC machining
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and job cards
• Commitment to quality and attention to detail
• Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn new skills (Okuma training provided)
