Our client is a very well-established and prestigious company with an outstanding reputation in their field.

They are currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join their busy team at their manufacturing facility in Congleton.

Main duties

  • Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings and associated paperwork in order to determine how products are to be correctly manufactured.
  • Use hand tools, production machinery and tooling to cut, machine, form, shape and size components to their required dimensions specified on engineering drawings.
  • Use available software and program CNC equipment for the purpose of machining/drilling product
  • Ensure that any measuring or production equipment used is within its re-calibration date prior to use
  • Select tools, check condition and set up in accordance with job card and/or work instructions
  • Accurately record the time expended on production work to the correct works order number
  • Ensure that all production related work activities and records comply with relevant quality standards

Requirements

  • Experienced in working within an engineering environment.
  • CNC Machining & Programming of multi-axis CNC equipment
  • Experience of working with manufacturing jigs and assembly aids.
  • Experienced in using production tooling and machinery.
  • NVQ Level3 Engineering apprenticeship

The company offer an attractive 4 day week pattern, working Monday to Thursday 6.30am to 4pm.
