Mad 4 Recruitment is looking to appoint a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with Special Educational Needs at a school in Cheshire. The role would predominantly be working either on a 1:1 basis or with small groups of students with Autism. This role is for 5 days per week, starting ASAP and ongoing.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience, working with pupils with autism. Previous experience working with pupils with additional needs is essential.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years (essential)
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, especially Autism.
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

The school provides education to day pupils, and via our unique Turning the Curve provision, to young people who have been disengaged from education for significant periods of time. We aim to maintain a nurturing and accepting environment for young people who have not had their needs met in other settings.
