Accountant Congleton £24k £35k (negotiable DOE) Fulltime 9am 5:30pm open to varied levels of experience My client is a reputable and growing Accountancy practice committed to delivering exceptional financial services to a wide range of clients. As they continue to thrive, they are looking for a skilled Accounts Assistant to join their existing team. Role Overview: As the Accounts Assistant, you will be motivated and detail oriented, and comfortable managing a portfolio of clients. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, gain exposure to different industries, and develop your career in a dynamic and collaborative environment. In this role, as the Accounts Assistant, you will be expected to:
  • Carry out VAT Returns, some bookkeeping, and general accounts duties etc.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for a range of clients.
  • Manage client accounts and provide comprehensive accounting services.
  • Review and oversee the work of junior accounting staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide advisory services and support to clients on financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements: As the Accounts Assistant, you will have you will have a strong background in accounting and at least 1 years previous experience with practice accountancy. You will additionally possess relevant qualifications (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent / AAT) to support your hands on experience, or will be currently studying the afore mentioned. In addition to the above, you will have:
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles, as well as VAT returns and bookkeeping.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
