Two men arrested on suspicion of possessing stun gun when police stopped van in Congleton

Two men were arrested on suspicion of possessing a stun gun when Cheshire Police stopped a van in Congleton.

Officers performed a stop check on a Vauxhall Movano on the Clayton Bypass, Congleton, at around 2.20am on Saturday (8th May).

A 23-year-old man from Warrington and a 27-year-old man from Middleton were arrested on suspicion of possession of a weapon.

They have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
