Twelve-year-old girl approached by suspicious woman at B&M store

A 12-year-old girl was approached by an unknown woman and was asked to leave with her at a Congleton B&M store.

At around 4.10pm on Friday (17 July), police officers were called to reports of a suspicious incident at the B&M store on Congleton Retail Park, Barn Road.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "The caller reported that an unknown woman had approached a 12-year-old girl and asked to leave with her. The girl refused and the woman subsequently left the store.

"Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 756880. "
