Thousands of foodies are set to descend on Congleton.

Congleton Food & Drink Festival makes its welcome return to the town next month

Organised by Congleton Town Council, this free event promises to bigger and better than ever before.

Rachel McCarthy, the council's town centre and events officer, said: "We're really looking forward to this year's Food & Drink Festival.

"After taking over the event last year, we've been working hard to build on its success and make it even bigger and better.

"It's a fantastic opportunity to showcase Congleton's vibrant town centre, support local businesses, and bring the community together for a great day out."

The Food & Drink Festival runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday, June 7.

Over 80 food stalls will fill the town centre, giving visitors the chance to sample a range of local produce and international street food.

There will also be a selection of craft beers and gins available.

Meanwhile, families will find plenty of fun, with children's activities inside the town hall, plus live entertainment, music, face painting, and circus skills.

An inclusivity area in The Space offers a quiet retreat for those needing a break from the crowds, ensuring the festival is welcoming and accessible for everyone.

Due to the large crowds, visitors are asked to leave dogs at home.

High Street, Mill Street, and Swan Bank will be closed to traffic from 7am to 6pm to accommodate the festival safely.

However, there will be a free bus service, funded by Congleton Town Council.

The 90, 91, 92, 93A and 93C services will all be free-to-ride for the entire day.
