By Livia Gregor 5th May 2026
Crews were called to a fire in a commercial building in Bosley yesterday afternoon (4 May).
Fire engines from Congleton, Macclesfield, Lymm, Bollington and Northwich were at the scene.
At 1:50pm, it was announced that crews were using two hose reel water jets and an aerial jet to tackle the blaze and it was confirmed that all persons had been accounted for.
The building, located on Tunstall Road, is used for treating wood chippings.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to one building with the incident being scaled back to four fire engines at 7:15pm.
Crews have remained at the scene overnight and have been checking the area affected by fire with a thermal imaging camera.
Discussions will take place later today about when they can leave the scene.
