Congleton Paddling Pool's opening hours are being extended for the summer holiday.

The town council has announced that from Monday (July 21) the paddling pool will open seven days a week.

It will open every day until Sunday (August 31) with two public sessions daily – morning sessions from 10am to 1pm and afternoon sessions from 2pm to 5pm.

Congleton Town Mayor, councillor Robert Brittain, said: "The paddling pool is a true community gem that brings joy to hundreds of children and families every summer.

"It's a place where memories are made – and the fact that it remains completely free and accessible to all is something Congleton is incredibly proud of."

Open to children aged 11 and under, entry to Congleton Paddling Pool is free of charge and no booking is required.

Visitors are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 140 people per session.

Once capacity is reached, visitors will be asked to wait until space becomes available.

The pool is closed to the general public every Wednesday morning to host exclusive SEND sessions hosted by Ruby's.

Tickets for these sessions are free but must be booked in advance, and are released each Monday at 7pm via Ruby's online platform here.
