A short service with the Royal British Legion, veterans and wreath layers was held at the Congleton cenotaph to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.
Congleton remembered safely in a small service led by Rev Ian Enticott and wreath laying by the local organisations, including Town Mayor Sally Ann-Holland.
Anyone wishing to add extra wreathes can add to the Eardly Statue and wooden crosses in the area in front of the Community Garden in Lawton Street. Wreaths will be moved over to the cenotaph today (Monday).
Elizabeth and Martin from the Prince of Wales added a beautiful addition to the cenotaph with a touching projection from the pub.
A video of the event will be made public before 11am on Wednesday (11 November).
To commemorate Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, a display of poppies has been projected onto the façade of Congleton Town Hall.
The poppy display will be visible at the town hall until Wednesday between 4:30pm and 11pm.
Congleton Town Council thanked North Rode based company, Lightech, for their expertise and support to deliver this display, as well as the team at Reeds Rains Estate Agent, for the use of their premises for projection purposes.
