Product/Project Manager Cheshire, Congleton Full Time 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 5 days per week £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience

Established for over 50 years, our client is an iconic UK manufacturer of electrical cable assemblies and harnesses, selling to lots of different industries including medical and the Events industries for music festivals and touring bands.

The company s mission is to continue growing profitably with its customers by producing and developing quality products that both excite and satisfy customer.

You will be responsible for developing ranges of electrical harnesses to customer requirements and overseeing the marketing of products. You will report to the Company Chairman and have one reportee.

• Must have good understanding and working with Excel
• Have a proactive approach to all tasks
• Take the initiative and ownership of responsibilities
• Great attention to detail and able to liaise with suppliers to find sources for new components and equipment
• Ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure
• First class communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience sourcing products/parts or stock control
• Experience with running websites and experience of trading with Amazon would be beneficial
• Must have relevant similar experience

What will your role look like?

• To review and recommend product strategies to enhance and maintain the product ranges, including opportunities to expand the distribution channels
• To review and manage the sourcing of all products, undertaking visits to sourcing exhibitions whenever necessary
• To manage the sourcing of components and recommending required equipment, assembly procedure, creating BOM s. Oversee manufacture of samples on new products where required
• To understand the products and create/maintain effective communication systems for colleagues throughout organisation
• Development and presentation of sales & launch packs
• To undertake regular reviews and reports on the relevant markets (including export)
• To devise and propose additional products to be sold through Amazon and oversee the Marketing Assistant to load new SKU s onto the Amazon website and deal with all Amazon orders
• To support the Commercial Manager with customer presentations and managing the company website
• To produce reports as required using the company sales/production software and using Excel to issue reports
• To maintain the company customer/potential customer lists to produce suggested sales routes for the Commercial Manager
• To report daily the company dashboard to show the value of sales each day against budget. Additionally issue a report twice a week showing booked forward sales orders
• Liaise with other departments to quantify the profitability of suggested new products.
• Monitor and report on competitor activity and marketing
• Calculation of cost pricing on proposed customer developments on new products which have not been manufactured previously
• Occasional marketing work for Ewbank LLC and Lordex Ltd which are other companies in the group
• Various reporting to show profitability of products, also capacities and recommendations
• Completing various Excel spreadsheets
• Deputising for Sales & Marketing Support
• General office duties
