Prospero Teaching is looking for a Year 2 Teacher to work for a primary school in Congleton, starting in September. You will need to complete a teaching placement in Key Stage 1. Excellent understanding of assessment and differentiation is essential order to enable the children to make progress at the best possible rate.

You will need to have a strong understanding of the curriculum for this age group, and be an engaging teacher who can enthuse and motivate the children with their learning. A creative approach to teaching, and the ability to make innovative links between subjects, is required.

This is a friendly and welcoming school where the staff team works extremely hard to give every child the provision they need to succeed academically, and develop well socially and emotionally.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

It is essential that you have QTS and experience working in a UK primary school. You will need to have taught in KS1 and have knowledge of KS1 statutory assessment. You will also need to have up to date Safeguarding training. You can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.

To be eligible for any role with Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of 45.80
  • Provide professional references which cover the last two full years
