The brand is supporting the U12's Whites team through their next season, in association with the Chatterley Whitfield pub in Stoke-on-Trent. The team and coaches have been kitted out with branded home and training kits, training tracksuits and winter coats.

The news follows Greene King's continued efforts to back grassroots sports. The Proud To Pitch In fund has already helped over 250 clubs across the UK through the sales of Greene King IPA and the business has now reached the £1million goal for funding which means it can continue to fund and support more sports clubs across the UK.

Hungry Horse is part of the Greene King family.

Jodie Roper, general manager of the Chatterley Whitfield in Stoke, said: "We're proud to be able to support the Congleton Town Juniors with team sponsorship, as we know how much this means to the club. The team regularly come into the pub and we wish them the best of luck for the season!"

A spokesperson for Congleton Town Football Club said: "The club greatly appreciates the support it has received from Greene King and in particular the Hungry Horse Brand. Our aim at Congleton Town Football Club is to make grassroots football accessible to as many children in our local community as possible. The support we receive from all our sponsors really helps us to do this by keeping registration costs as low as possible.
