Congleton Town got their new campaign off to a flying start after beating Longridge Town 1-0.

A solitary strike from Jordan Johnson in the 36th minute was enough for the Bears to come away with all three points on Saturday.

Richard Duffy's side will be looking to maintain their 100% start ahead of tonight's (Tuesday, 3rd August) trip to Irlam, who also won their first game of the season.
