Town Tidy

Congleton in Bloom kicks off their 2026 Town Tidy programme this weekend with a special clean-up focused on the grounds of Congleton War Memorial Hospital.

From 10am to midday on Saturday, March 7, volunteers are invited to help enhance the hospital environment through gardening and planting, alongside litter picking in the surrounding streets.

More information can be found here.

Monday (09/03)

Congleton Curios

Mike Tingle's Monday talks series at Congleton Library resumes on March 9, at 2:30pm in the downstairs meeting room.

This year's series begins with Congleton Curios – hiding in plain sight, a virtual tour of the town focussing on dozens of interesting objects that most passers-by are unaware of, or just ignore.

Where, for instance, can you find a bull in a charity shop, a Bowl of Hygeia, a portcullis or a street name sign hanging on a belt?

Find out more here.
