Congleton: there are just eight weekends left this year - so you better make them count!

Here are Congleton Nub News' picks for the best things to do this weekend in Congleton.

Now let's get into the best events happening in Beartown this weekend.

  1. Artisan Market

There are just three Artisan Market's left at Congleton's Mossley Village Hall.

From 2-5pm on Sunday November 21, you can enter to find a selection of incredibly independent Congleton market traders.

Why not buy local this Christmas, and support your fellow Congleton residents?

The Leek Road community building will also host host their Artisan Crafts Fair on December 5 and December 19.

  1. New Men's Wellbeing Walk

On Friday November 19, it's International Men's Day! So a national charity has decided to launch a group to aid mental health for men in Congleton.

Emerging Futures CIC have organised for a wellness walk around Congleton's Astbury Mere Country Park.

They said: "Join our team in Congleton for a leisurely stroll around Astbury Mere supporting connection, mental health and wellbeing for men.

"Every 3rd Friday in our month our team will be meeting to improve wellbeing and connection in Congleton."

The walk is FREE to join, just head to the Astbury Mere Carpark at CW12 4FR this Friday at 12:30pm. After this Friday's, the next one will be on December 17.

  1. New Slimming World Group

100 Canal Road is the address for Congleton's latest weightloss group.

Slimming World will come to Congleton's Wellspring Methodist Church this weekend. And it is a permanent fixture.

They'll have four sessions a week, every Thursday from 9am, 5.30pm & 7pm, plus each Friday from 9.30am.

Organiser Laura said: "This is the perfect time to begin your journey, together with our group as it launches at Wellspring Church in Congleton!"

The group advertises itself as family-friendly, and welcome old, men, women, even pregnant & breast-feeding mums.

  1. Tunes at The Antelope

The Antelope will be hosting a one-of-a-kind soul night this weekend, hosted by soul and Motown singer T-Kay.

Situated on 88 Lawton Street, the event will take place on Friday from 9pm.

With Northern soul, plus some more recent classics, the celebration of music's most sultry genre will take over the much-loved Congleton pub.

The Congleton watering hole also has live music on every Sunday at 4pm.
