Uninsured and unlicensed drug driver banned from the roads
A drug driver has been banned from the roads.
Kevin Price has been disqualified from driving for two years after admitting to a string of offences.
The 27-year-old from Biddulph was caught driving a Vauxhall Astra along Mountbatten Way in Congleton on October 28, 2024.
At this time, Price had MDMA, cocaine and benzoylecgonine (a cocaine breakdown product) in his system.
There was over 800 micrograms of benzoylecgonine per litre of Price's blood.
This is at least 16 times the threshold limit of 50 micrograms per litre.
Price was also found to be driving without a licence and did not have third party insurance at the time of the offence.
Price, of Tunstall Road, appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on Monday, December 30, where he pleaded guilty to all five charges put against him.
He was handed a 12 month community order, as part of which he must complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
He was also given an obligatory driving disqualification of 24 months,
Price will also need to pay costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge.
