The principal contractor for the Congleton Link Road project has issued a traffic management update.

Following the lifting of the Chelford Road closure, Graham has said that from Monday (8 March) there will be temporary traffic lights in place 24 hours a day on Chelford Road, Somerford, to enable service diversions and tie-in works to the Black Firs Lane junction.

The planned completion date for this work is early April.

A spokesperson for Graham said: "We would like to thank residents and commuters for their ongoing patience while we will deliver these essential works."

On Sandbach Road, Astbury, there will be temporary traffic lights in place on Monday (8 March) between the hours of 7.30am and 11.30am and on Tuesday (9 March) between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm to enable traffic sign installation and tarmac works.
