The principal contractor for the Congleton Link Road project has issued a traffic management update.
Graham will be imposing a full closure of Moss Lane at its junction with Manchester Road from tomorrow (Wednesday, 17th February), with access for residents being maintained from Macclesfield Road.
The closure will apply to motorists and non-motorists. Graham said the closure is "essential" to enable the tie-in works of the new Manchester Road junction and the realignment of Moss Lane.
When Graham has completed the work, Cheshire East Council will re-open Moss Lane to pedestrians and cyclists only under the 'Cheshire East Council (A536 Congleton Link Road) (Classified Road) (Side Roads) Order 2016'.
The work is expected to be completed by 1 April.
Graham will also be imposing an overnight road closure on Manchester Road between Crawford Drive and the tarmac quarry to enable white lining works and to switch the traffic to the south side of the carriageway.
The closure will take place over one night on either the 17th, 18th or 19th February, subject to weather conditions.
