Temporary traffic signals are in place on the High Street in Congleton whilst United Utilities attend to a water burst opposite the town hall and Rood Hill.

Royle Street is also closed and temporary traffic signals are in place on Rood Hill due to separate water burst.

A Congleton Fire Station spokesperson said: "Please take care when driving, cycling or walking near Clayton Bypass as there is a large water burst.

"Road conditions could be hazardous due to the water flowing into the carriageway."
