Emergency services in attendance as crash brings M6 to standstill

Around 11am on Saturday 5 April, emergency services recieved reports of a collision on the M6 between Junction 16 and Junction 17 (Nub News).
Around 11am on Saturday 5 April, emergency services recieved reports of a collision on the M6 between Junction 16 and Junction 17 (Nub News).

Traffic is currently at a standstill on the M6 northbound between Junction 16 (Crewe) and Junction 17 (Sandbach/Congleton) following a collision.

Around 11am on Saturday 5 April, emergency services recieved reports of a collision on the motorway.

Motorists wanting to enter the M6 from Junction 16 at Barthomley face long delays. Lane one of four remains closed.

Traffic is stopped on the M6 in Cheshire northbound between J16 Crewe and J17 Sandbach due to a collision (Wiki Commons).

National Highways: North-West said: "Traffic is stopped on the M6 in Cheshire northbound between J16 Crewe and J17 Sandbach due to a collision.

"Emergency services are in attendance.

"Long delays building, please allow extra time for your journey."
