Emergency services in attendance as crash brings M6 to standstill

Traffic is currently at a standstill on the M6 northbound between Junction 16 (Crewe) and Junction 17 (Sandbach/Congleton) following a collision.
Around 11am on Saturday 5 April, emergency services recieved reports of a collision on the motorway.
Motorists wanting to enter the M6 from Junction 16 at Barthomley face long delays. Lane one of four remains closed.

National Highways: North-West said: "Traffic is stopped on the M6 in Cheshire northbound between J16 Crewe and J17 Sandbach due to a collision.
"Emergency services are in attendance.
"Long delays building, please allow extra time for your journey."
