Six arrested and two seriously hurt during 'dispute' in Congleton

Six people were arrested and two seriously hurt during a 'dispute'.

Cheshire Police have appealed for information and video footage as they investigate disorder in Congleton.

Officers were alerted to reports of a dispute involving a number of people on Bromley Road at 12am on Tuesday, March 25.

Upon arrival they found that two people had sustained 'serious injuries'.

Six people were subsequently arrested, and officers have since spoken to a number of witnesses.

Chief Inspector David Levins said: "We understand the concern this incident is likely to have caused, but we would like to reassure the public that we are doing all we can to establish what took place.

"As part of our enquiries, we would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with us.

"We're also asking anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us if they saw anything suspicious which could aid our investigation."

The six suspects have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
