Get ready for a day of 'eggcellent' fun.

Congleton Town Council is inviting families to join in the festivities at Easter Treats Day.

Taking place in the town centre on Tuesday (April 8), the fun-filled event promises a variety of activities for all ages.

Town Mayor, councillor Kay Wesley, said: "Easter Treats Day is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, celebrate the season, and support our wonderful local businesses.

"We are thrilled to offer such a vibrant and engaging event for our community, and I look forward to seeing everyone enjoying the festivities."

Easter Treats Day was cancelled in 2024 due to heavy rain and strong winds.

This year's event runs from 11am to 2pm on April 8.

There will be crafts, face painting and circus skills, as well as the chance to meet some adorable calves at Halton Farms Milk Shack.

Green-fingered visitors can enjoy seed planting with In Bloom and, if you're lucky, you might even spot Billy the giant rabbit hopping around!

The much-loved 'Hop Around the Shops' trail will also make a return, running from April 7 to 19.

Families are invited to explore local shops, solve clues, and claim a free Easter treat donated by Tesco, Barn Road and Morrisons.

Trail sheets can be accessed by scanning the QR code below, downloading them from the town council website, or picking up a copy from the Congleton Information Centre.
