Here at Congleton Nub News we have loved covering all things Beartown and keeping residents informed of what's going on in our area throughout the whole of 2021.
We launched in February 2020, meaning 2021 was our first full calendar year of covering news in the town!
And in 2021 we are pleased to say that our site went from strength to strength.
Over the course of 2021 our site has received almost 500,000 page views, and we now boast over 4,500 combined followers on Facebook and Twitter!
But enough about us - what about you? What Congleton stories did you, our lovely readers, read the most in 2021?
We took a look through our stats to find out the top 10 most popular Congleton stories of the year. Read them below...
The tenth most read story on our list is a heart-warming one, profiling a mother-daughter duo of frontline workers battling the pandemic.
They candidly spoke on how they keep each other going in their roles through tough times.
The story was published for Mother's Day, in the midst of the third lockdown.
We were first to break the news of an empty retail unit being filled on High Street.
Multiple businesses will be inside the Stephenson Browne estate agents building.
Stephenson Browne will open later this month, for which Congleton Nub News will exclusively cover.
The most recent entry on the list, we profiled this burgeoning Congleton gin business in November.
The Edge Gin have a new store, bar and distillery in Astbury.
The performing arts were hit hard during the pandemic, so it was great to profile the success of actor Sam Craig.

Our most read sporting story of the year, one Cheshire golf official had to exit a tournament on the 15th hole at Astbury to get tickets for the Champions League final!

March was an amazing month for Congleton car fan Jason Swift-Clowes.
He won a contest which saw him win 70 grand an a Mercedes worth 51 grand.
His initial response: 'You are kidding me'.

This story was googled by thousands, and also was loved on social media, from September to November.
After two long years, Congleton's Bonfire and Fireworks returned to provide respite for these tough times.
