Mass hiring drive begins for Congleton Leisure Centre

The delayed opening of Congleton Leisure Centre is becoming ever-tangible, as multiple job vacancies have been announced.
Six positions are now accepting applicants for the revamped multi-million pound Congleton Leisure Centre site on Worrall Street.
Gymproviders Everybody Health and Leisure are after sport and non-sport based positions.
These include cooking food at the new café and soft play centre, to being a personal trainer at the two-storey gym.
The roles you can currently apply for all have expiry dates of this month, so be quick if you want the jobs.
They are as follows:
Taste For Life Café Assistants
From serving kids parties to making the perfect coffee, there's full and part time roles serving up brews at Congleton Leisure Centre.
Basic food prep may be required, as well as keeping the vending machines well stocked.
£18,463 - £18,741/year (full time equivalent)
Part-Time Cooks
Paying a little more at £19003 pro rata, champion food prep, stock control, and more in this cooking-based role.
30 hours per week.
Personal Trainer
20 hours per week, half time.
Benefits include having the satisfaction of helping others reach their goals, and a Salary of £18,385 for 20 hours per week (equivalent of £34k per annum full time).
There is also additional earnings potential for workaholics (and those seeking to get even fitter) from the option of further classes and personal training.
Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification REQUIRED.

Catering Manager

Want to work 37 hours? Get paid full-time £21,953 with potential to grow to £23,739?
This Catering Manager role could be for you.
As well as one of the highest salaries, this also has the latest closing date of all vacancies listed in this article, being March 31.
There are also swimming roles which could see you working across all Everybody Cheshire East sites like the ones in Macclesfield and Alderley Park as well as Congleton, should you be successful in the role.

Sadly, we are no closer to a precise opening date, but some of the job roles mention interviews in April, which could mean an opening in late April or early May.
Congleton Conservatives claimed in November 2022 that Congleton Leisure Centre could be open by March 2023, but it appears we will have to wait a little longer as they have only just got around to hiring people now.
