Congleton's newest under-18s night Fresh comes to the town's High Street next month.

After several meetings over the last couple of months with the town council's Anti Social Behaviour Working Group and Youth Council, Councillor Rob Moreton approached the manager of Bamboogy to organise an event for the young people of Congleton at the club.

Councillor Moreton felt that due to none of the youngsters ever attending the club, it would generate interest.

Councillor Moreton told Congleton Nub News: "We need to make this event a success so we can organise other events.

"The potential is there to make this a fun safe place for our children to have fun in Congleton and to give them a well-earned break from thinking about schoolwork.

"Tickets are selling fast so don't leave your child disappointed by missing out."

Councillor Moreton is already targeting putting on other events at Bamboogy such as gigs for upcoming young bands.

The event for 14 to 17-year-olds will take place on Thursday 9th April from 7pm to 10pm.

Tickets cost £10, which includes unlimited soft drinks and there will also be confetti cannons, glowsticks and inflatables. There will be a range of chart, dance and RNB music played throughout the evening.

Tickets are available via www.bamboogycongleton.com or by visiting Congleton Tourist Information Centre or by calling 01260 271095.
