Man in hospital after car crashes into hedge near Congleton

A male car driver is currently in hospital with injuries, after his vehicle crashed into a hedge near Congleton.

On Sunday 28 July, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Macclesfield Road, Eaton.

A 2:57am, officers discovered a blue Toyota Yaris had gone off-road, hitting a hedge.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service made the scene safe, with the driver treated by North West Ambulance Service paramedics.

A male driver was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. No arrests were made (Cheshire Police).

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 2:57am, police were called to a collision on Macclesfield Road, Eaton, near Congleton.

"Police attended and found a blue Toyota Yaris had collided with a hedge.

"The driver of the car was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

"His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
