It's launch day for a new exercise programme for chronic back pain

A new rehabilitation programme designed to help reduce pain and disability for people with chronic lower back pain begins in Congleton today (April 30th).

Everybody Health & Leisure has announced their next ESCAPE-pain for backs programme are starting at Congleton Leisure Centre.

ESCAPE-pain for backs is a rehabilitation programme designed to help reduce pain and disability for people with chronic low back pain, through education and exercise.

You need to take part in a group exercise programme, twice a week for the initial first six weeks, tailored to your individual needs.

This is then followed by a further six week membership with unlimited use of the Everybody leisure facility.

Donna Williamson, Senior Health Innovation Manager at Everybody Health & Leisure said previously : "We are delighted to share the next ESCAPE-pain for backs programme will be starting on 30th July at Congleton Leisure Centre.

"The ESCAPE-pain for backs programme reduces pain, improves physical function and improves mental well being, self-confidence and self-esteem."

The weekly sessions give participants a chance to take part in a group exercise programme, weekly educational discussions on self-management and coping strategies and circuit style exercise classes, which are individualised and progressive to suit each individual's needs."
