Dedicated SEND sessions to return to Congleton Paddling Pool this summer
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 6th Jul 2026
Dedicated SEND sessions are returning to Congleton Paddling Pool.
Congleton Town Council has once again partnered with Ruby's to provide sessions that give children with special educational needs and disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the popular facility in a calm, supportive environment.
Managed and delivered by Ruby's, the exclusive sessions will take place every Wednesday morning from 10am to 1pm on July 22 and 29 and August 5, 12, 19 and 26.
Following each SEND session, the paddling pool will reopen for general admission from 2pm to 5pm.
Congleton Town Mayor, councillor Suzy Firkin, said: "The town council is proud to continue working in partnership with Ruby's to make the paddling pool as inclusive and accessible as possible.
"These dedicated SEND sessions give families the opportunity to enjoy the pool in a quiet and welcoming setting, and we're incredibly grateful to Ruby's for managing and delivering them each year.
"We hope lots of local families will take advantage of this wonderful free opportunity over the summer holidays."

The sessions are open to SEND children and their immediate families, offering a quieter environment where children can enjoy the water with reduced numbers and additional support.
Places for the SEND sessions are free but limited and must be booked through Ruby's.
Tickets are released online every Monday at 7pm for the following week's session.
