Congleton in Bloom is heading to the national finals.

It has been revealed that Congleton will represent the North West in the 2025 RHS Britain in Bloom UK Finals.

Beartown will be looking to win the Best Overall Large Town category, having already secured the regional award.

Councillor David Brown, chair of Congleton in Bloom, said: "Taking Congleton to the national stage is an incredible honour, and this achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.

"From our volunteers to our community partners and streetscape team, this is a true team effort.

"Under the leadership of the excellent In Bloom committee, we've kept our town blooming. Whether we're planting, deadheading, or just weeding a flowerbed, we're working together, outdoors, in the company of like-minded people, for the good of the whole town.

"It's so rewarding to receive positive comments from local people and visitors alike. We can't wait to represent the North West at the Britain in Bloom finals in 2025!"

The national judges will visit Congleton in August, with preparations for their visit already underway.

Congleton in Bloom are calling on residents to join their efforts to keep the town looking its best.

"We need everyone's help," added councillor Brown.

"Please contact us if you'd like to get involved.

"Together, we can make Congleton shine even brighter on the national stage."

The North West in Bloom Judges visited Congleton last August to assess the town's floral displays based on environmental impact, community engagement, and horticultural excellence.

Their three-hour whistle-stop tour showcased the town's many floral highlights, including Astbury Mere, the community garden, Congleton Park, town centre hanging baskets and planters, the Children's Back-to-Back Gardens, and the town's numerous wildflower planting areas.
