Job hunters have been given a helping hand in taking the next step in their careers.

Cheshire East Council has partnered with Jobcentre Plus to stage a jobs fair.

Taking place at Congleton Town Hall on Wednesday (April 2), the fair will offer a chance to meet top local employers and discover opportunities available.

"This event is your chance to explore various career paths and find the perfect fit for your skills and experience," said a council spokesperson.

"Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity. See you there!"

The fair will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm and again from 1.30pm to 3pm.

It follows a similar event in Crewe in February which proved to be a big success, attracting almost 900 potential applicants attended.

Speaking after, councillor Michael Gorman, chair of Cheshire East Council's economy and growth committee, said: "I am delighted to hear the jobs fair has been such a resounding success in helping local people find out about and secure new jobs."
