The most recent donation from Crewe company Swansway Motor Group to a Congleton charity, has seen the total figure pass a major milestone.

This month's donation takes the six year total to Congleton performing arts charity Circus Starr above the £90,000 mark. Circus Starr aim to spread the magic of the circus to disadvantaged children and families.

Swansway Motor Group, which owns Crewe Audi, Crewe SEAT and Crewe Volkswagen, have announced their latest donation, through their sale of 89 Motability vehicles in January, February and March.

Swansway have donated another £1,780 to Circus Starr, bringing the six year total above the £90,000 mark, meaning their partnership is not far off six figures!

Circus Starr turn 35 years old this year.

Congleton good cause Circus Starr have an office in Dane Mill on Broadhurst Lane.

For every vehicle sold on the Motability Scheme, Swansway Group donates £20 to enable a child and their carer to attend a Circus Starr show. In 2020 and early in 2021, Circus Starr were unable to host any shows, during this period the money donated by Swansway Motor Group was used to directly support Circus Starr.

As Circus Starr are now back on the road, the money donated will once again fund tickets for children and their carer.

Sarah Hall, Communications and Engagement Manager at Circus Starr commented; "As always, we really appreciate the continued support of Swansway, their latest donation will help fund tickets for vulnerable children and their families to make new, exciting and treasured memories together, after all, every child deserves magic. We are so excited to kick off our Spring tour on the 19th of April and spread the joy of the circus around the country."

Circus Starr has an office in Dane Mill, Broadhurst Ln, Congleton CW12 1LA.

Swansway Motor Group Director added:

"The motor trade has faced several challenges in 2021 that have continued in 2022, stock supply issues have affected our ability to fulfil new car orders, which is something that directly affects our Motability customers when they are looking for a new vehicle. Despite these challenges, it is important to us that we continue our collaboration with Circus Starr. Their fantastic work puts smiles on the faces of children and their families across the UK and we are very proud to be able to support them in the mission."

Circus Starr are back for their spring tour across the country and so is their big top tent. Children can enjoy all the fun of the circus under the starry canopy of the big top tent and watch the spectacular performance.

The Motability Scheme is open to anyone in receipt of higher rate mobility allowance (such as the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment or the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance). Recipients can exchange all or part of their allowance to lease a Motability car such as an SUV, saloon, hatchback or MPV across a wide range of vehicle makes.
