All you need to know about Congleton Bonfire and Fireworks 2022
Congleton's spectacular Bonfire and Fireworks is back!
And it will be one to remember, as it is on the fifth of November. Being a weekend as well, you could expect record attendance, especially given COVID affecting recent years.
The event kicks off on Saturday November 5 at 5pm, where the gates will open.
There's a torchlight procession to light the bonfire at 6pm.
Then, at 6.30 there is a special display for families with young children.
It is smaller fireworks, that may cause a little less of a bang, but still fun. Good for families that don't like being in huge crowds as well.
Then, while the firework team re-set, enjoy the sidestalls and fairground rides for a quick recharge.
Then the main display will start at 7.30pm. It will be done by 8pm.
This year, the event celebrates two big events. It is part of the climax to the town's 750th Charter Year.
The other is a remarkable coincidence. Event organiser, Rotary-Congleton is celebrating its 75th year in Congleton since its own Charter was granted.
To celebrate. a special treat is being planned for the main display.
Advance tickets are £7.50 for Adults and £4 for children aged 5 to 14.
On the day the full price becomes payable £10 for Adults and £6 for children.
Tickets from the Information Centre at the Town Hall - or from Rotary's Stall on Saturday mornings in the town centre. (Including for this weekend's Makers Market)
Bring cash and card to avoid disappointment in getting full enjoyment from the evening.
