Monday 8 June
Mike's Monday Miscellany presentation for June tells the legendary story of how a baby was delivered by an eagle (as opposed to a stork!), and how this event influenced the coats of arms of two different lords of the manor - with a less-than-subtle difference in design.
Mike will explain the partial truths behind the legend and suggest links to several European mythological stories. Spoiler alert: the Child in the legend really did exist. There is also a link to a group of authors of well-known fantasy adventure tales.
Entry is free, but donations are welcome.
