Day of 1940s fashion and flyers set to raise money for charity
For the fifth consecutive year, North Rode Revival will bring music, classic cars, microlights, and more with a golden era twist of vintage fancy dress to Congleton on Sunday, June 22nd to raise money for East Cheshire Hospice.
The event will commence at 3:00pm and feature an extensive collection of classic and competition cars, live music from the Charley Farley rock covers band and Olivia Robinson.
For those who prefer aerial experiences, Alpaca Airways offers up to 15-minute aerial tours for a £50 charity donation, conducted in a light fixed or flex wing aircraft. Alternatively, attendees can witness the pilots showcase their skills in a fly-past balloon popping competition (weather permitting).
Food and beverages will be available, but attendees are welcome to bring their own picnic, making it an affordable day out for the family.
Tickets can be purchased on the day at a cost of £10 for adults and £5 for children over six years old. All proceeds from the day will be donated to the event's chosen charitable causes.
Entry for classic and competition car exhibitors is complimentary, regardless of the number of passengers. To qualify, cars must be pre-1987 models or part of a car club that has been registered for the event.
The team and the Alpacas eagerly anticipate your presence at The Smithy, Station Road, North Rode, Congleton, CW12 2PD, dressed in your vintage attire.
Event organiser, Mike Gilman, said: "North Rode Revival is a great day out for the whole family while being a one-of-a-kind event – where else can you check out classic cars, enjoy live music, take a microlight tour and then relax with a picnic next to a pack of Alpacas. There's even a vintage costume competition with a prize up for grabs for the best dressed! And what's more, this is all helping to support an incredible local charity that does amazing work in our community."
Over the past four years North Rode Revival, and its predecessor event the Alpaca Picnic Fest, has successfully raised well over £10,000 for East Cheshire Hospice.
